Getting Reading for a Web Conference

First, be sure that your internet service provides 256 Kbit upload and download speeds. Not sure? Visit this website and run a test: http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/

Next, open your internet web browser and click on http://www.webconference.com/setup/v5/newinstaller.php

Download software to run the conference, including the latest version of Adobe Flash player.

Please note: Wi-Fi connections are unstable; they run at variable speeds and connectivity comes and goes. This causes conference quality that is unacceptable for teaching.  The same is also true of broadband services from cell phone service providers as of 10/2007.

Also note that Windows XP users may get better sound and voice if they configure their microphone and headset.  Follow the directions at:

Finally, contact Encompass Learning Solutions for a free demonstration.
