Other hardware needed: A digital writing tablet (such as the Genius 450 G-Pen), a webcam, and either a headset with microphone or a microphone and speakers are required. These items may be purchased from companies like NewEgg.Com, Amazon.Com, and many others. The digital writing tablet is needed so that the student may write and spell and the teacher is able to see it during the on-line lesson. I spent about $50.00 for the one I use with students. The headset is preferred so that participants do not hear their own voice as feedback; however, we are always willing to try a new microphone/speaker combination to see how it works.
